WHAT: Opportunity for the public to share ideas about the aesthetic future of the Indiana Railroad Bridge, the popular pedestrian bridge crossing the Grand River just north of Fulton Street in downtown Grand Rapids.
WHY: The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) soon will invest in the restoration of the Indiana Railroad Bridge. Rehabilitation includes replacing the decorative lighting and repainting the entire structure (the current blue color is rumored to be a primer coat). The DDA values the public’s input on the future appearance of this historic and highly visible community asset.
WHEN: TUESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2012
Two sessions: 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
WHERE: Grand Rapids Public Museum
The Overlook Room – 3rd Floor
272 Pearl St. NW
WEB: Citizens can also share ideas on the DDA’s Facebook fan page (Grand Rapids Downtown Development Authority) and via Twitter using the hashtag #IndianaBridge.
