Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. Planning Manager Tim Kelly emails a weekly GR Forward update to the project Steering Committee. Here's this week's communication:

Happy Friday Everyone:

I hope you are all finishing up a great week and enjoying the start of the holiday season.

A quick note to remind you all that Tuesday, December 15 at 9:30 AM we will present the revised GR Forward to the Grand Rapids City Commission. The presentation will be accompanied by a request to approve GR Forward as an amendment to the City’s Master Plan.

The City Commission is the seventh and final required public approval in the GR Forward process, and while the previous six have all gone extremely well, it would be great to have anyone that is available come and offer support at the meeting. It has been a collective effort to get to this point, and we would love to recognize everyone that has been involved in getting us to this important milestone.
